Bullet Heaven Episode 218 - Iro Hero (Switch)

Ikaruga is an incredibly influential game, one that has greatly inspired many to adopt a colour polarity system. Some are great and some, unfortunately, are not. Iro (Color) Hero on Nintendo Switch and Steam tries to emulate the subtle, elegant simplicity of Ikaruga while throwing more mechanics into the mix. But how does it stack up?

Bullet Heaven, Episode 212 - Ikaruga Full Compare & Switch Review

In episode 59 of Bullet Heaven, we took a look at the XBLA version of Ikaruga on the Xbox 360. We really love Ikaruga, and with the recvent Switch version, we though it'd be neat to compare every home version of "Project RS2" to the most recent iteration of this amazing classic. How does it stack up?

PPR 110

oylent Green is people, or some shit like that—there we just saved you an hour and thirty-seven minutes, or did we? We may have just pulled a super dick-move, all for just lazy comedy bit, and you’re probably super mad at us right now (assuming that you lived under a rock, and haven’t the seen one of Charlton Heston’s finest performances of course.)

This is the current climate of things, and no media is immune to the tyranny of spoiler culture, be they video game, film, or book, the nuances and charm that comes from the investment that we put into these cherished pieces of content can be ruined in an instant by the inconsiderate actions of a complete stranger.

We think that’s bogus; join Andrew, Ser, and George as they tackle the talking points that deal with Spoiler Culture, and why it’s gradually becoming more and more prevalent in the media spaces we keep. In addition to that, we talk about Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee edition, Street Fighter V Season 3, Bosskey Production’s Closure, Kenny Omega, getting a haircut, Apple being stingy with Valve, Ikaruga, God of War, the usual shit talk on the Ouya, and more. Smash that link, and get in on this episode before someone else spoils the sweet fart joke that Ser makes at the 45-minute mark!

Mail us at our new email Mailbag@presspauseradio.com, leave a voicemail at 469-PPR-TALK, and be sure to stop by at our Forums if you haven’t already registered and post your thoughts about the show. Games Club: Ikaruga & Contest

We wanted to announce that upon our return and the insane prediction that Serraxor made with Ikaruga being the final game of the PAX EAST 2011 Omegathon, we chose it to be our next Games Club! To commemorate our most recent Games Club with Ikaruga, we have decided to present you guys with a pretty rad contest. The rules are simple, each of us from Press Pause Radio that took part in the Games Club will take a picture of our top score for stage 1 of Ikaruga. We'll post the pictures via the Forum thread for our website forum. Where do you come in? The first one of you to take picture of your own score that beats all of our scores (individual scores, not a totaled amount) will win the contest, well what the fuck is exactly that you win? Glad you asked.

The winner will be able to take home the prize of codes that we would message you. One code is for a shiny Microsoft points card worth 1600 points, and the other is a code that will give you the chance to download the new digital record "Where The Air Is Thin" by our very own Serraxor.

So what are you guys waiting for? Go the fuck at it! Also make sure to tune into to the latest Games Club episode, it's a killer.
