hose familiar scenes from a movie you can’t quite remember, the ones with the atmosphere of streetlights and Deco art posters, streets filled with cabarets and burlesque shows for fellas and dames— The Great Gatsby withstanding , the 1920’s is an era so vaguely romanticized for its appearance over culture . It was always what was seen or heard versus what was said or done, with all of the style and bravura on stage and never too much indulged on the history and culture behind it.

Compulsion Games means to tell a story that’s born in the thick of it, and while the fiction is rich in intrigue and complimented with exquisite eye candy--Contrast is a collective of ambitious gameplay mechanics that manage to grease that platforming wheel, the rotation however, doesn’t come close to spinning full circle.

PPR Presents Now Showing: 11/08/13

his week on Now Showing shows off trailers of upcoming games that all share one thing in common—They gots all that humor for all you laughing types! The Stick of Truth shows off some sweet footage of gameplay and content for the first time to demonstrate just how synergetic it is with the show’s actual animation. The other two trailers are some indie darlings; Twisted Pixel dives into some live-action satire promoting the upcoming Lococyle, and Casual Brother puts together some B-roll with farts and stinks with their co-op multiplayer project, Orc Attack, enjoy you chuckle-hearty clods!

PPR Presents Now Showing: 10/31/2013

n our efforts to try to do cool new stuff with Press Pause Radio and make it one of the best enthusiast Video Game media podcasts and websites around, we’re introducing another feature to the sight that we’ll be updating from here on out and hopefully try to make it a weekly to bi-weekly feature.

There are tons of trailers that come out and just never enough time to check them out one by one, so every Friday, we’re going to collect some our favorites and throw them up in one post to celebration of everyone’s eyes and ears towards upcoming games.

This week is all Halloween themed so we decided to follow suit with this new feature. In this week's Now Showing, you’ll find some new footage and release date information on the sequel of the Vampire Killing reboot with Lords of Shadow 2. he first thing you will notice when Brothers : A tale of Two sons has loaded is how vast the environment is even though for the most part the game is fairly linear. From the rocks on the Mountain to the leaves on the Trees, to the made up language that you almost start to understand this game is hands-down gorgeous, engaging and will keep you playing until you've seen the end.

ow, so this is awkward…it’s been a while since we’ve done one of these right? Yeah, well…we’re picking up our stride again. With the videos and reviews we’ve picked the pace up on, it only makes sense that we get LTTPG going again. For those who are late to the party, have horrible attention spans, or you simply despise me to the point where you tune out whatever I say on the podcast anyway; I just recently moved and though it’s been more than a month since—I’m still catching up.

Nevertheless, fear not, there’s plenty of nonsense to hit the site soon.
