QCF:Penny-Arcade Adventures:On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness EP3

Freelance review by Johnathan Sawyer from GameFAQS

It has been four years since the release of the first episode of Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, and roughly three and a half years since episode two. Since then, the series has changed directions and almost started anew. This time around, Zeboyd Games took it upon themselves to continue the series, but rather than continuing on the same path that Hothead Games was taking, they decided to go with what they do best, as they've already proven with Cthulhu Saves the World and Breath of Death VII: a classic-feeling, parodied RPG... console-style. It looks, feels, and even plays like the console RPG's we fell in love with on the SNES in the 90's, and it gives you a TON of bang for your buck. At $4.99, it's too good of a deal to pass up.

QCF: Endless Space

Space! Queue epic music and Morgan Freeman voice over and you get the idea of what Endless Space hopes to achieve. A new 4x game from developer Amplitude Games brings the Civilization feel to space much like Sins of a Solar Empire, but on a slightly smaller and more accessible scale. I very rarely play these 4x space games, and even though I’m an avid Civ player, I always thought taking the idea to space would be too daunting. Thankfully after playing Endless Space I believe my apprehensions coming in have been extinguished.

Vintage RePlay 001 - UN Squadron

Missed the live Vintage Play show? SHAME! Lucky for you, we recorded the whole thing! Be sure to join us next time!

In this episode of Vintage RePlay, we attempt to clear U.N. Squadron for the Super NES with just the default plane. Will we succeed? Watch to find out!

NOTE: This episode was recorded from a live stream. There are sections that freeze and jerk. This is an unfortunate side effect of live stream recording.

Press Pause Radio's Vintage Play focuses on the retro age of video games. Whether it’s special podcasts, editorial, or even reviews, when you see the mark of Vintage Play, you can expect a trip back to the time of plastic cartridges and CD-ROMs (which makes us realize we’re old as shit).
