Communities -- collective forces of people who work and support each other towards a common goal, and as a result, create a social and integral bond in through every day living.

The Video Gaming community is an anomaly in so many ways, even today. The community has served as a fundamental that trades off between being strength to stigma to every single individual who participates in it actively, myself included. Labels can range anywhere from juvenile or vindictive, to supportive and trustworthy, and little has been done to find a consistency -- until recently.

Life Through The Pixel Glass: Lego Stop Motion

 

There are some crazy awesome stop motion videos on YouTube. Some of the best involve action figures and/or Legos. This is one of those Lego times.

 The gameplay was recorded off of an emulator and the footage was stretched over the photograph of a block of Legos. By turning down the opacity of the emulator footage it allowed the texture of the blocks show through. Sweet stuff!

What happens when one more game or one more level spirals out of control and destroys relationships, jobs and other activities out of the virtual world? Life Through The Pixel Glass: Commander Shepard

 

We've been hearing more and more buzz about Mass Effect 3 this week and I'm pretty sure I don't need to explain how excited I am for the game's release in March. That being said, I found it only fitting that I share one of my favorite video game songs "Commander Shepard" by Miracle of Sound. The song isn't just amazing, it's extremely catchy! It isn't out of the ordinary to see me humming it at least five times a day. So, like every Mass Effect fan out there right now, play through the first two games again but this time with even more style now that you've aquired this awesome piece of music!
