QCF: Tokyo jungle

In the seemingly desolate urban ruins of the once established city of Tokyo, a creature emerges. A tiny Pomeranian dog reveals himself out in the open, casting aside his thin veil of secrecy the tall grass in streets of Dogenzaka provided. Grazing in the distance in front of a department store, a lone rabbit is quietly stalked by the Pomeranian, completely unaware of impending doom that lurks upon it. As the Pomeranian readies its strike, a giant lion bursts through the window of the department store and mauls them both into submission. The lion is pleased with his newly acquired meal…until he’s interrupted with a challenge from a pack of chimpanzees and its cleat-wearing leader.

PPR 64

This episode begins with a very real and extremely awkward discussion about European porn stars and voyeurism. So, there's that I suppose. Hopefully you will all continue to listen to the latest episode of Press Pause Radio, as we discuss the recent news and events in the world of video games. Our cast returns from the short hiatus and breaks down the upcoming Wii U, as well as the departure of our favorite Doctors from BioWare. In our featured topic we define, in our own words, the definition of a legacy in video games, both positive and negative. Thanks for checking out our newest episode and please make sure to rate and review us. Stay tuned for more greatness coming your way from PPR!

QCF: Bunny Must Die

Rockin' Android's latest release, Bunny Must Die: Chelsea and the 7 Devils, has finally made its North American debut with a surprise release in the Indie Royale Back to School Bundle. Originally released in Japan back in 2006, I was thoroughly impressed back in April when I got my hands on the then-world-exclusive complete English build. I really had to limit myself from turning my preview into a full on review because the gameplay was that darned good. As it turns out, not only can Murasame of Platine Dispositif make some pretty good shooting games, he can also craft a daring, difficult and delightful action platformer as well.

QCF: Double Dragon Neon

You know those nostalgic feelings you get when you see or hear something that makes you feel like you're a single-digit age again? I freaking love that feeling. I've said before that you can't really make nostalgia for yourself, but when others manage do it, it can be a great thing.

QCF: The Walking Dead: Episode 3

The Walking Dead Episode 3 has proven that Telltale Games can truly capture the utter despair and horror that comes with a zombie apocalypse. In my opinion I do not believe that the graphic novel or the television show really show how desperate and terrible things have truly become. It's because the gamer is the one pulling all the strings, choosing between good and bad, and sometimes between life and death. In Episode 3, we encounter unforgettable situations that are very painful to witness. The Walking Dead is one of the first games I've ever played that truly gave me shivers and nightmares several nights after the initial play through.

QCF: Snapshot

Taking pictures never seemed charming to me, or even bearable. A general rule of thumb for me is to always exit quickly whenever there is a group picture or a close-up shot. Retro Affect may have finally found a way to make me smile around a photo opportunity with their latest puzzle platformer, Snapshot. Although puzzle aspects can be troubling at times, the overall experience proves to be very worthwhile and enjoyable throughout.
