PPR Presents Ourcade: Nintendo Randomized Tandomizer Part 2!

up everyone?—remember that new video feature we’ve been teasing for the last couple of years? We’re FINALLY doing it; the feature is Ourcade, and it’ll be a special feature where my partner, Val, and I, will stream some games in tandem with one another—specifically games that have had a remaster or remake, where I will be playing the original, and Val will be playing the new version (unless we decide to switch up the roles for certain exceptions.)

Returning to where they last left off, George and Val will be playing some randomized hacks of Nintendo classics! George will be playing a special randomized hack that combines SNES favorites, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Super Metroid, into one combined experience where not only will various rooms or doorways transition you between Hyrule and Zebes, but integral items from both games will be randomly shuffled from their typical areas in the game. In an even bigger twist, the items can be randomized into the other mashed game, i.e., the hookshot could be held by a Chozo while the Super Missile will be stashed in a treasure chest in some dungeon—shit’s going to be wild. Val, on the other hand, will be playing Pokémon Soul Silver, which will randomize all aspects of Pokémon encounters, from the choice of starters, to the wild encounters, and the teams that various trainers and leaders will have when you run into a challenge—oh, and items will also be randomized too!

May we get the charitble blessing of RNG-esus tongiht and make some HUGE progress for y'all!

PPR Presents Limelight: Doom: The Dark Ages

025 is jam-packed full of huge releases, but one particular release appears to have come and gone from the gaming water cooler, and that’s DOOM: The Dark Ages.

The latest entry of the modern take on the FPS giant amps the frenzy of DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal by adding even more mobility options, and a Marvel Hero-ass Shield that you bash and parry with, and of course, even more DOOM guy lore to set the latest stage of hell in. George and Andrew will be hosting tonight’s limelight, with George on the sticks and Andrew on the side-cans, where they’ll chop it up on the newest entry of the violent shooter franchise.

Be sure to tune in to our Twitch at 7:00 PM PST on 08/28/2025 to watch the medieval twist of the iconic Rip & Tear gameplay we’ve come to know and love! PPR Presents Ourcade: Nintendo Randomized Tandemizer!

o here’s something—remember that new video feature we’ve been teasing for the last couple of years? We’re FINALLY doing it; the feature is Ourcade, and it’ll be a special feature where my partner, Val, and I, will stream some games in tandem with one another—specifically games that have had a remaster or remake, where I will be playing the original, and Val will be playing the new version (unless we decide to switch up the roles for certain exceptions.)

Other times, we might just play games that share a certain theme, which is what we’ll be breaking out in the inaugural episode with! In this debut stream of Ourcade, George and Val will be playing some randomized hacks of Nintendo classics!

Needless to say, we’re pretty excited (and terrified) about what’s ahead of us for tonight’s stream!

PPR Presents Play Play: Rocket Knight Adventures

ey all! We’re finally returning to consistent Play Play videos again, and we cannot wait to highlight one of the most slept-on, overlooked franchises in all of gaming, the Rocket Knight Adventures franchise. Arguably, people who are familiar with the series claim that the property ultimately peaked where it began with the original, but we disagree, as we take the time to explore the series as a whole starting with this first entry. In this video, we’ll be asking ourselves the important questions like is it a Run ‘n Gun, or a Platformer, and does Bacon taste crispier when it’s on SEGA.

Join George and Ser on this fiery, yet furry romp into Konami’s first full-fledged Mascot title for the Sega Genesis—without any “Only 90’s kids will remember’ memes for your viewing pleasure!

PPR Presents Play Play: Sonic The Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles

onic Mania is fast approaching, and while we don’t have our review ready just yet, we do have a few special looks at some choice cuts from the Blue Blur’s past that we think have influenced the direction seen in the new 2D throwback.

This particular title within the hero’s 16-bit catalog redefined what Sonic could do, and set the tone for the series for years to come in terms of an ensemble cast, and an adventure of epic proportions. Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles may be better known as a meme than a classic these days, but it was the biggest game that featured the hog, and is considered to be the peak of the Sonic’s Genesis library.

Join Ser and George as they get down to some sweet tunes that may, or may not have had some compositional work done by all-time legend in pop music in this latest Play Play.

PPR Presents Play Play: Skylanders: Trap Team

n a generation of gaming where the combination of the words “toys to life” holds more weight than a Fisher-Price-ass looking plastic music instrument; it will always circle back around to the adorable little plastic troop of creeps that pioneered the trend from the very beginning—Skylanders.

After three titles releasing a year after the other from one another, the title to proceed the upcoming Super Charged tapped into a colloquial sensation that has proven to appeal to all ages—trapping creatures against their will, subjugating them to fight your battle for you.

Dark, but true; so join George as he escorts Andrew through the world of Skylands, and the mechanic of switching out toys on a glowing pad to advance through a series of obstacles, fights, and shit, and stuff.

Here’s to hoping that Andrew will spend even more money on a hobby that drains him emotionally, and physically…it’s fun!

PPR Presents Play Play: Mortal Kombat X

The amount of progress that Netherrealm Studios has accomplished with the Mortal Kombat brand and it’s respective fighting engine is something that no one can deny. I mean, no other game has passionately embodied the phrase “shit gets real” quite like Netherrealm’s current offering, and we decide to get in on the madness.

Getting in on the cutting edge action of MK X, we discuss the visceral visuals of the franchise hitting the latest generation of gaming and the tech it offers, the evolution of the Kombat system (seriously, we can’t help ourselves) and the shelf life that X may just have for the year of 2015. It’s another Play Play, so kick up your feet and press that play button already.
