Bullet Heaven HD, Episode 152 - Zenodyne R

eam Grybanser Fox is an indie outfit with a penchant for making really hard shooting games. 2015's Zenohell was a good run but ultimately left Grybanser Fox unsatisfied... and their newest entry, Zenodyne R aims to fix that. Super-hardcore veterans will likely get a kick out of the ultra fast, no-mercy style gameplay. But how does it stack up for the rest of us?

Press Pause Radio at E3 2016

ur podcast has the highest quality pixels that you’ll ever find in a podcast, never before will you ever come across pixles that will look as amazing as these…wait, what’s that, you’re saying that podcasts don’t really have any pixels in them?

Well then…what about Teraflops; can we just say that we have more than the other podcasts? No…well, screw it, we’re just going to wing it then.

We here at Press Pause Radio have plenty to say about the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 trade show, and all of the weird yet, wonderful surprises that are in store for us for the rest of 2016, and 2017. George, Andrew, and Ser wax on about Legend of Zelda Breath of Wild, Dishonored 2, Prey, Telltale Batman, God of War, Detroit: Being Human, We Happy Few, Inside, Death Stranding, Project Scorpio, and so much more.

It’s a pretty full show, so kick back, and pause “I’ll be coming” by Low Roar that you’ve been playing on repeat already as we cover E3 2016!

Mail us at our new email Mailbag@presspauseradio.com, leave a voicemail at 469-PPR-TALK, and be sure to stop by at our Forums if you haven’t already registered and post your thoughts about the show. PPR Presents Play Play: P.T.

his shit is still scary, and off putting, and man, just;  it’s just weird that this one demo had SUCH an impact upon the gaming industry and what we ever imagined scary games could be.

It also was the first sign of troubled waters between Kojima and Konami.

George and Andrew walk through this nightmare-fueled hallway a bunch of times (THIS IS NOT A WALKTHROUGH) and just talk about how the cancellation of this game lead to Alison Road, and Resident Evil 7 (we’ll be releasing that one soon too.) Here’s the latest Play Play!

PPR Presents Play Play: Skylanders Superchargers

hile the announcement of Skylanders Imaginators (or Imagineers, George keeps mixing it up honestly, and he’s one we expect to keep better track of that shit) was a bit expected and yet still surprising all at the same time—mostly to the reveal of a certain iconic gaming mascot making a cameo.

The Imaginator gimmick seems like a hodgepodge of the Trap Team gimmick, and that sound like an awesome return to form, because like Banjo Kazooie, these critters had their own car “phase” in Superchargers.

Join Ser and George as they talk about how the Skylanders series hasn’t slowed down for the last 5 years, and whether or not that this is good thing; and a bunch of grown men groaning on about hard it still is to buy children’s toys, plenty of that too in this new Play Play.

QCF: Mighty No. 9

o after all of the anticipation, in spite of the delays that served to simultaneously fervor and stifle the excitement; Mighty No. 9 is out, and well, it’s most certainly left an impression, that much is safe to say. Inafune’s premier project banked on the charm of its ambition, which in hindsight, explains why lackluster delivery out of this project hit so hard, and almost why it was sort of doomed from the start.

The initial appeal to this endeavor was how it was poised to be the spiritual successor to a franchise that we all assumed that Capcom long forgot, but Mighty No. 9 just clumsily fumbles about in the shadow that Mega Man casted over it as it fails to cast one of its own.
