QCF: Flippidy Tap!

here are a slew of time-wasters on the google play store and apple store that captivate their users during those menial moments where they're waiting for an important meeting, slogging through a commune on public transit or generally finding a bit of downtime to relax and poke at their devices' screens for a bit. I, of course, prefer the shmuppy ones, but puzzles are a big deal for me too, and while it may not exactly be Tetris or anything, Flippidy Tap! is a game that ended up being subtly challenging with a bit of hidden tension and a decent premise.

Bullet Heaven, Episode 211 - Star Soldier Saga Vol.4: Gunhed

1988 was new territory for the Hudson Zenkoku Caravan. Not only was there a general, complete shift to the PC engine, Power League Baseball made for a sport-tastic, decidedly non-shmupalicious time. Not so in 1989 though, as Hudson would pubish a Star Solider style shooter by Compile...

QCF - Sky Rogue

he Ace Combat series has provided decades of great aerial combat action since the first game in the series was ported to the original Playstation in 1995. Since then, other franchises have strived to bring that same magic to the home market, including Konami's Air Force Delta, Sega's Aero Dancing and Aero Elite and Ubisoft's H.A.W.X.

But what if players wanted an air combat game with fictional aircraft, roguelite mechanics, and original Virtua Fighter style visuals? Well, Fractal Phase Games' Sky Rogue has you covered. Sky Rogue was released on the Nintendo Switch on April 26, 2018, and it basically ticks off all of those boxes. Featuring cool aircraft design and a fantastic retro-3D aesthetic – not to mention a hefty amount of action – Sky Rogue fills a niche on the Nintendo Switch that we can only hope to see more titles of in the future.

PPR 110

oylent Green is people, or some shit like that—there we just saved you an hour and thirty-seven minutes, or did we? We may have just pulled a super dick-move, all for just lazy comedy bit, and you’re probably super mad at us right now (assuming that you lived under a rock, and haven’t the seen one of Charlton Heston’s finest performances of course.)

This is the current climate of things, and no media is immune to the tyranny of spoiler culture, be they video game, film, or book, the nuances and charm that comes from the investment that we put into these cherished pieces of content can be ruined in an instant by the inconsiderate actions of a complete stranger.

We think that’s bogus; join Andrew, Ser, and George as they tackle the talking points that deal with Spoiler Culture, and why it’s gradually becoming more and more prevalent in the media spaces we keep. In addition to that, we talk about Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee edition, Street Fighter V Season 3, Bosskey Production’s Closure, Kenny Omega, getting a haircut, Apple being stingy with Valve, Ikaruga, God of War, the usual shit talk on the Ouya, and more. Smash that link, and get in on this episode before someone else spoils the sweet fart joke that Ser makes at the 45-minute mark!

Mail us at our new email Mailbag@presspauseradio.com, leave a voicemail at 469-PPR-TALK, and be sure to stop by at our Forums if you haven’t already registered and post your thoughts about the show. Finally, make sure to rate and subscribe to us on iTunes and YouTube, follow us on Twitch page and Twitter, and finally take part in our Facebook and Steam group!
