QCF: State of Decay

ver the last five years, zombie survival has become its own sub-genre. From first-person shooters such as Left 4 Dead and third-person action games including Dead Rising, zombies have been used in many different forms. Love it or hate it, the zombie as an enemy type is here to stay. State of Decay attempts to focus more on the survival aspect of the genre, while many parts of the game gets in the way of greatness, what state of decay does accomplish is something that you would normally only find in those flash games on Kongregate. And to be honest, that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

QCF: Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D

ack in the day, when they weren’t developing half-hearted motion titles or games with papier-mâché animals in them, Rare had a partnership where they developed games for Nintendo, and they got their big break reviving one of the Big N’s biggest icons; Donkey Kong.  While the reception toward the Donkey Kong Country franchise has always been wildly mixed (seriously, what’s up with these guys?) it’s definitely secured enough of a following for Retro Studios to live up to their name so to speak, and release a modern sequel on Wii…

Flash forward to 2013, Nintendo makes the call for Retro to port the monkeys over to the 3DS, and Retro being the forward-thinking bunch that they are, decided to work on all of the criticisms of its Wii cousin, it’s safe to say that they succeeded.

QCF: Class of Heroes 2

hen I was a young lad, one of the random PC games I had sitting next to Kings Quest and Chex Quest was Might and Magic IV. I never made it very far, due to its brutal difficulty and my young mind not being able to wrap my head around not just flinging fireballs at goblins. Because of that game I have always wanted to try the Etrian Odyssey series, as games like Dark Souls and Trials have toughened my resolve for difficult games. Instead, I had the esteemed privilege of playing Class of Heroes 2.

QCF: Kentucky Route Zero: Act 2

fter several months of waiting, we finally return to Kentucky Route Zero only to find that things are more bizarre than what they seemed. At the end of the first episode, as Conway and Shannon stare off into what must be Route Zero I imagined that the many questions I was left with would have some form of an answer after I hit the road. As I know now at the conclusion of Act 2, the answers will not come as easy, and that dealing with the questions is what makes this experience unlike any games on the PC right now.

PPR Presents: Nintendo's Closet Furry

he Mustachioed knight in overalls is making his second appearance on the Wii U, but don’t expect to see him in his overalls considering he’ll be—get this, dressing up like a cat. Yeah... strange right? See and that’s the thing, it’s really NOT all that strange when you think about it; we’re seeing an icon openly fetishizing and it’s skirting the point to where he might start hooking up with Craiglist ads in between all the self-inflicted heavy petting to DeviantART.

We all know Mario has always had some sort of identity crisis through his career. Whether he’s a doctor who gave away pills like free kittens in front of Walmart, or recklessly barreling down the speedway in his go-kart like Shia LaBeouf driving home from a night of binge-drinking, he’s never really done any plumbing. The one consistent behavior we can associate with the jumping legend is his love to get primal with animal costumes, and I think it’s time he comes clean with it. I mean, there’s nothing to be ashamed of Mario -- we totally understand. College Humor may have had the jump on us, but we’re here with open paws to accept all of the proverbial animal skeletons of our hero’s closet and let him know “Hey man, it’s cool if that’s your thing, just don’t be weird about it.”

The following is evidence that will illustrate the gradual buildup of veritable evidence that confirms our suspicions that the Red and Blue Italian is a full-blown furvert.
